FBI Assisting HPD with Drive-By Shooting Near the Galleria Mall in Houston

Houston, TX - A man in his mid-twenties was killed in a drive-by shooting in the 2100 block of Mid Lane at approximately 6:10 p.m. yesterday. The victim, an African-American male, was driving a white Mercedes when a black Subaru with dark windows approached, and gunmen dressed in black hoodies and possibly wearing shades opened fire. Father arrested in connection with the death of nine-year-old infant

The father, Michael Fisher, has been arrested and charged with injury to a child-serious bodily injury in the death of a nine-month-old infant. The cause of death is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. Fisher, the child's father, transported the unresponsive baby to the hospital on March 17th, where the infant was pronounced dead on March 20th. March 27, 2023 - Houston, TX - A 17-year-old suspect, Alexxis Zambrano, has been arrested and charged in relation to a shooting incident that occurred at 7100 Crownwest Street around 6:40 p.m. on Sunday, March 26. A suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of a man at 8415 Bucroft Street on March 5. According to a opinion issued earlier today by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals - two years after a tragic single-boat accident, one of the boat's occupants, John Andrew Newbold, succumbed to his injuries. The boat had struck a submerged warning sign during the accident, and the estate and survivors of the deceased sued the companies responsible for the sign. The district court granted summary judgment to the defendants, Kinder Morgan, a Houston Company and Southern Natural Gas Company, on the grounds that the incident occurred on water governed by Louisiana law rather than federal law. HOUSTON - The City of Houston has decided to terminate its contract with Inframark, responsible for managing the Greater North East Houston Service Area system, including the Kingwood Central Wastewater Treatment Facility. This decision comes after a two-month investigation revealed Inframark's breach of contract with the City. To better serve Kingwood residents, Houston Public Works will assume control of water treatment facilities in the area, in line with their successful management of facilities throughout the city. The Houston Police Department is awaiting autopsy results on human remains found in Pasadena, Texas today which is believed to be related to the disappearance of 2-year-old Nadia Lee on October 18, 2022 according to a press release from the Houston Police Department. The suspect, Jyron Charles Lee, 26, is now charged with capital murder in the 351st State District Court. He is believed responsible for the disappearance and possible death of his daughter, Nadia as well as his wife. Lee was charged with murder in the 185th State District Court in the death of his wife, Nancy Reed, 22 on October 19, 2022.
