Friendswood man arrested, charged with murder for fatally stabbing a man

Harris County, Texas - A local man has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing another man to death. The Assistant District Attorney of Harris County stated that Austin Jacob Whittenburg, the defendant, is believed to have intentionally and knowingly caused the death of Nicholas Meyers on March 22, 2023. According to the complaint, Whittenburg allegedly used a deadly weapon, a knife, to stab Meyers. The document also asserts that Whittenburg not only intended to cause serious bodily harm to Meyers but also committed an act that was clearly dangerous to human life. The Assistant District Attorney is pursuing charges based on the belief that Whittenburg's actions led to the death of the complainant, Nicholas Meyers.

January 15, 2023 - Just after 2 a.m. in north Houston, partygoers were met with gunfire outside of a club in the parking lot. The incident happened outside of a nightclub on FM 1960 in northwest Harris County. According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, multiple shooters arrived in the club parking lot, and started to open fire on people outside in the parking lot. Both 7.62 rounds and 5.62 rounds were found at the scene. In total, at least fifty casings were recovered. There is no word on what started the incident.
