Suspects Arrested for Illuminating a Texas DPS Aircraft Pilot with a Laser

On February 1, 2024, deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office were dispatched to the 11300 block of Lodge Run Lane in response to a report from a Texas Department of Public Safety Aircraft Pilot. The pilot reported the aircraft being targeted with a laser. Upon arrival, deputies detained two male suspects, identified as Leonel Vasquez and Artemio Gonzales. Gonzales was discovered to have an active warrant for Tampering with Government Record. Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. Leonel Vasquez was charged with Illumination of Aircraft by Intense Light, while Artemio Gonzales faced charges based on the outstanding warrant. As of now, their bonds and court dates have not been established.

The incident took place on Friday, January 5th, 2024, around 10 pm, in the 4600 block of Verone Street. Two suspects arrived in a newer model, dark grey Cadillac. The driver stepped out and fired several rounds from a rifle into the complainant’s vehicle. A $5,000 cash reward is being offered for information leading to the identification, charging, or arrest of the suspects. Suspect Arrested for Evading, DUI After Stopping in Front of Memorial Hermann

Tonnette Carter was apprehended on January 27, 2024, following a vehicle pursuit that ended in front of Memorial Hermann. The incident began when a deputy from Constable Mark Herman's Office attempted a traffic stop in the 3800 block of Atascocita Road. Carter, the driver, did not comply, leading to a chase that concluded in the 14200 block of East Sam Houston North, in front Memorial Hermann. Carter showed several signs of intoxication. After Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, it was confirmed she was intoxicated. On Monday, June 19, 2023, at 12:09 AM, Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) District 1 Patrol deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting incident at 5050 FM 1960 W. Suite 112 in Houston, Harris County, Texas. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Carlos Arzuaga, a 58-year-old male, lying on the sidewalk in front of a nondescript illegal game room, with apparent gunshot wounds. Arzuaga was found wearing Battle Dressed Pants (BDU) and a polo-style shirt with a "Security Officer" insignia on the front. Despite the response of EMS personnel, Arzuaga was pronounced dead at the scene.
