On February 1, 2024, deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office were dispatched to the 11300 block of Lodge Run Lane in response to a report from a Texas Department of Public Safety Aircraft Pilot. The pilot reported the aircraft being targeted with a laser. Upon arrival, deputies detained two male suspects, identified as Leonel Vasquez and Artemio Gonzales. Gonzales was discovered to have an active warrant for Tampering with Government Record. Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. Leonel Vasquez was charged with Illumination of Aircraft by Intense Light, while Artemio Gonzales faced charges based on the outstanding warrant. As of now, their bonds and court dates have not been established.

An adult female suspect has been taken into custody after a disturbance call in the 1600 block of Tucumcari Drive. The incident involved the physical assault of a thirteen-year-old juvenile. Tonnette Carter was apprehended on January 27, 2024, following a vehicle pursuit that ended in front of Memorial Hermann. The incident began when a deputy from Constable Mark Herman's Office attempted a traffic stop in the 3800 block of Atascocita Road. Carter, the driver, did not comply, leading to a chase that concluded in the 14200 block of East Sam Houston North, in front Memorial Hermann. Carter showed several signs of intoxication. After Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, it was confirmed she was intoxicated. She was arrested and taken to the Harris County Jail, charged with Evading in a Motor Vehicle and Driving While Intoxicated. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – An adult female suspect was taken into custody in front of Memorial Hermann Hospital following a brief pursuit by Harris County constable deputies. The incident, originating from a traffic stop in the 14200 block of East Sam Houston Parkway North, led to a chase after the driver refused to stop. HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS - On December 9, 2023, units from the Harris County Sheriff's Office responded to a major vehicle accident in the 20000 block of US 90. The incident, involving a single vehicle, resulted in serious injuries to the occupant, who was transported to the hospital via life-flight. Their condition remains unknown at this time.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - A local man, Douglas Paul Cody, has been accused of multiple criminal acts, including impersonating a public servant, mail theft, and use of a stolen vehicle. The Assistant District Attorney of Harris County has revealed these charges in a recently released document. On June 23, 2023, Cody allegedly posed as a peace officer from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and managed to gain access to a local resident’s home. The charges assert that Cody’s intent was to exploit the resident’s trust and induce submission to his pretended authority. Prior to this incident, on January 10, 2023, Cody was implicated in a case of mail theft, a felony offense. On Monday, June 19, 2023, at 12:09 AM, Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) District 1 Patrol deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting incident at 5050 FM 1960 W. Suite 112 in Houston, Harris County, Texas. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Carlos Arzuaga, a 58-year-old male, lying on the sidewalk in front of a nondescript illegal game room, with apparent gunshot wounds. Arzuaga was found wearing Battle Dressed Pants (BDU) and a polo-style shirt with a "Security Officer" insignia on the front. Despite the response of EMS personnel, Arzuaga was pronounced dead at the scene.
