HOUSTON, July 12, 2023 — A 29-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred earlier this month, according to the Houston Police Department. George Dennis Western is facing murder charges in the 230th State District Court for the death of 30-year-old Erick Romero. The incident took place around 3:05 a.m. on July 3 at an apartment complex located at 1221 Redford Street. Responding officers found Romero in a parked vehicle with a gunshot wound.
