HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man was fatally shot in northeast Harris County after an altercation that occurred on Saturday around 6 p.m. The incident took place in the 5200 block of Aldine Mail Route, in the U-turn lane underneath the Eastex Freeway. According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the confrontation began when a man, later identified as the victim, exited a Ford Explorer and approached a light-colored sedan. The initial altercation involved the victim striking the male driver of the sedan. In response, the driver of the sedan retrieved a pistol and fired at the man, striking him.
