A man has now been arrested and is in custody after shooting another man multiple times in the parking lot of a convenience store in broad daylight late last week after an argument. Around 2:10 p.m., on December 23, 2022, police responded to a report of a shooting outside King Discount Store located at 4131 Bennington in north Houston. Police then found the victim, Dontray Darnel Jefferson (34) suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics with the Houston Fire Department pronounced Jefferson deceased at the scene. According to court documents, detectives were able to observe on surveillance video that the suspect, physically assaulting Jefferson. A mother is suing an apartment complex and gas station after her son was shot by a customer and left to die behind a southeast Houston gas station near a dumpster. https://youtu.be/y0fxs05Burc According to the lawsuit, on November 12, 2022, the victim, Satisfield Demarcus Landry was involved in an argument with another customer. Both employees and managers heard the argument and “did nothing to intervene” despite the other customer (who would end up being Landry’s killer) threatening Landry’s life several times. A Houston area church is being sued by a mother who alleges officials at the church tried to cover up the sexual abuse of minors by a Youth Pastor. The church, Champion Forest Baptist church is part of the Southern Baptist Convention, which the lawsuit alleges has a history of covering up abuse in its ranks. One of their ex-youth pastors even pleaded guilty to sexual abuse and sexual assault allegations back in 2018. The lawsuit, which was filed in Harris County District Court last week alleges that the mother and her child were getting ready to attend a program that they attended every Monday. The family of a Houston woman has filed a wrongful death lawsuit in Harris County District Court after they say a toxic mold infestation took over the woman’s home when the homeowners association failed to make sure repairs were done correctly. The woman later developed cancer and died because of the mold the lawsuit alleges. The woman’s troubles began during Hurricane Harvey back in August 2017. At one point during the hurricane, water entered the woman’s home and caused damages. The woman then reported the water damage to the homeowner’s association, Cambridge Court Owner’s Association as well as the management company for the complex, Creative Management, Co. December 11, 2022 - According to Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman in Harris County, two teens were shot in the 19800 block of Kenswick Dr. and Huntermoor Circle in Humble, Texas. Both teens were transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Two suspects were detained, and Constable's also recovered a weapon.
