New information leads police to a second suspect linked to capital murder case

January 24, 2023 - A 20-year-old Houston man has been charged with capital murder after investigators were able to recently obtain new information that connected him to a murder that occurred back in 2022. According to investigators, "The two victims were inside an apartment at the above address when two black male suspects entered and shot the victims. The suspects took money and other items from the victims and fled the scene. Video: Domestic violence double shooting leaves mother dead, daughter in hospital in southeast Houston

Police are investigating a double shooting in southeast Houston that left a mother dead and her daughter in the hospital. Police believe the shooting occurred because of domestic violence. According to the Houston Police Department, the Houston Fire Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 4500 block of Idaho St, shortly after 10 p.m. When they arrived they found two victims that had been shot. One of these victims, a mother, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her daughter was transported to a local hospital and is said to be in stable condition. Traffic stop leads to arrest of arson suspect wanted in connection with insurance fraud

Constables with Harris County Precinct 4 arrested a man when they learned that he was wanted for arson in connection with an insurance fraud case in Harris County. Houston man shot in buttocks during an argument at an apartment complex in northeast Houston

January 21, 2023 - A man was shot in the buttocks during an argument Saturday evening in northern Houston just before 9 p.m. According to officers, the man got into an argument at an apartment complex on Bennington Dr. During this argument, someone opened fire and he was struck in the buttocks. Police say the man was then taken to his home at an apartment complex located in the 7600 block of E Houston Rd. He was then put into another private vehicle and transported to a local hospital where he is expected to recover.

Neighbor shoots and kills would-be intruder in north Houston

January 21, 2023 - A neighbor in north Houston was shot and killed a burglary suspect trying to enter the house next door just before midnight. According to police, the neighbor heard the suspect trying to break into the house next door. The neighbor decided to go outside and confront the suspect. The suspect, the neighbor claims, then charged at the neighbor. Fearing for their life, the neighbor fired his weapon and struck the suspect. The suspect was then pronounced deceased at the scene.

Video: Fatal accident in Houston’s Museum District

January 20, 2023 - Police say a man was possibly struck by a vehicle and left in the roadway. Police originally responded to a report of a shooting in the 1000 block of Palm near Fannin in Houston's Museum District just before midnight. According to the Houston Police Department, when they arrived, they found a man deceased in the roadway. Officers have not ruled out it was a shooting, but do believe he was possibly struck by a vehicle. That vehicle left the scene. Video: HCSO chase ends in southwest Houston

A man in a dodge challenger crashed into an innocent driver after leading police on a chase after an "intersection takeover" in Spring Branch. According to Sgt. J. Carroll of the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the man led police on a 29-minute chase from Hammerly and Blalock. The suspect then crashed into an innocent driver on Renwick & Jessamine. He was injured during the crash and taken to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries before being taken to jail. The innocent driver was not injured during the crash.

Video: Southern Boys Tattoo Shop caught on fire overnight

January 21, 2023 - A popular tattoo shop in east Houston caught on fire overnight. The fire started around 4 a.m. Saturday morning when first responders were dispatched to a report of a fire at the Southern Boys Tattoo Shop located at 13739 East Freeway. At one point, the building was fully engulfed in flames. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time and is under investigation according to the District Chief that was on scene at the time of the fire. Suspect charged with murder of man outside of convenience store in southeast Houston almost three years ago

A man is being charged with murder after being suspected of killing a man nearly three years ago outside of a southeast Houston convenience store. Police found two victims. Pedro Ontiveros-Vaca, who police found sitting in his car was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics with the Houston Fire Department. The other victim was taken to a local hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound to his leg. After investigating, investigators identified two suspects.
