Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office seeks public assistance in locating missing woman

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – Authorities are seeking assistance in locating Valerie Terry, a 38-year-old woman last seen on November 5, 2024, in The Woodlands. According to Case No. 24A315003, Terry checked into the Extended Stay Hotel on Valleywood and was later observed walking near the IHOP on the I-45 South feeder road, close to the hotel. She was last seen carrying a black suitcase. Terry, a mental health consumer, is without her necessary medications and may require immediate assistance. If you have any information regarding Terry's whereabouts, please contact the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office at 936-760-5800, option 3, and reference case #24A315003.

HOUSTON, TX – Several streets in downtown Houston will be closed tomorrow for the memorial service of fallen Houston Firefighter Marcelo “Ox” Garcia III. The closures, announced by the Houston Firefighters Association, will begin at 6 a.m. and are expected to affect traffic in the area until noon. Man drowns in Muleshoe Lake

HARRIS COUNTY - A man was reportedly missing Saturday night after his friend said he went swimming and never came back up. This was in Muleshoe Lake by the San Jacinto River. According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the man's body was recovered after Texas Parks and Wildlife and a Harris County Sheriff's Office Marine Unit searched for him. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas, July 10, 2024 – The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office Cold Case Team has exhumed remains in an effort to resolve a cold case from 1964, leveraging recent advancements in forensic biology and DNA analysis. Authorities hope these technological advances will generate new leads and help close the longstanding case. The remains, identified as those of a dark-haired white male approximately 6 feet tall and weighing between 180-185 pounds, were originally discovered on June 11, 1964, off FM 359 near the Jones Creek bridge. The victim, around 50 years old at the time of his death, was found decapitated with his hands and legs amputated and left in a ditch. HOUSTON, July 14, 2024 – Jesus Ventura Lopez, 17, has been charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon following a shooting incident at 7400 Walker Street around 9:10 a.m. on Sunday. The 57-year-old victim was critically injured and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital. According to HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division patrol officers responded to a call at a residence near the incident location and found the victim with a gunshot wound. HOUSTON, July 15, 2024 – Ralph Sample, 67, has been charged with murder in connection with the stabbing death of Paulette Francis, 62. The incident occurred at 8435 Tidwell Road around 2:55 p.m. on Monday. Houston Police Department (HPD) officers discovered Francis unresponsive, covered by blankets, following a report of a deceased person at the location. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. An investigation revealed that Francis had sustained multiple stab wounds.
