Body found in a field by the University of Houston in 3rd Ward

 A man's body was found off an entrance to IH-45 in the 2000 block of Cullen on Wednesday afternoon, just across the freeway from the University of Houston, just east of Downtown Houston. Houston Police, during a press briefing, stated the man's body was found by a Houston Fire Department apparatus as it was returning to the station after a call. Firefighters stopped to check on the man and determined that he was already deceased. The firefighters reported their findings to the Houston Police Department at which point a homicide investigation began. The man, who has not been identified was found by the entrance ramp. Two men face charges after firing a rifle at an Atascocita neighborhood pool over the 4th of July weekend

An e-mail was sent out over the weekend to residents of Atascocita Forest in Atascocita, TX, a suburb of Harris County, TX regarding an incident that took place on July 2, 2022, at the Atascocita Forest Swimming Pool (17415 Woodland Hills Dr, Humble, TX 77396). According to the e-mail, the two men decided to walk around the parking lot with a rifle after being told to leave the pool by lifeguards after getting into an argument with some others at the pool. Suspects lead police on a short chase in north Houston before crashing into a ditch

A Toyota RAV 4 with Texas dealer plates took Houston Police on a chase through north Houston early Monday morning around 3 a.m. on July 4, 2022, before crashing into a ditch on Exeter St. at Skinner Rd. According to police radio traffic, the chase started when the suspects when police were called after several suspects were caught breaking into vehicles in the 1700 block of Wellington Street, which is between Aldine Westfield and the Hardy Toll road. The caller stated that there were three vehicles total, with a total of six suspects, all males in their 20s and 30s. The caller stated also stated that the suspects were stealing parts off vehicles using a "jigsaw". The three vehicles were described as a "silver Cadillac, gray and brown Jeep, and a blue truck." Man shot and killed during a drive-by shooting at a Conoco gas station on Airline in north Houston

According to Officer Mayfield with the Houston Police Department, first responders were dispatched to the drive-by shooting at 9:04 p.m. late Sunday, July 3, 2022. The shooting took place at the Conoco Phillips gas station located on the corner of Berry Rd. and Airline Dr. (4840 Airline Dr, Houston, TX 77022). Officer Mayfield explained that when first responders arrived, they found the male victim in a silver Chevy SUV, with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken by paramedics with the Houston Fire Department to a local hospital in Houston. A suspect decided to run after Officers with the Houston Police Department and tried to pull him over shortly after 11 p.m. on June 29, 2022, around Rushcreek @ Kuykendahl in north Houston. The suspect, a black male in a white Lincoln Navigator took police eastbound on Kuykendahl Rd towards I-45 the North Fwy. A man in his late twenties was fatally shot outside a Valero gas station Tuesday evening       According to Sgt. Executive Assistant Chief James Jones with the Houston Police Department said in a press statement that at about 7:24 p.m. on June 26, 2022, a suspect walked into a Walmart in the 4400 Block of the North Freeway where he confronted a random person in the checkout line. As he exited the store, the victim was struck once with a punch and then hit with a bat or table leg.
