HOUSTON, TX – Houston police are investigating two fatal shootings that occurred over the weekend on Higgins Street, just two blocks apart. The first shooting was reported at 5329 Higgins Street around 10:40 p.m. on Saturday (Dec. 21). Officers responding to a discharge of firearms call discovered a vehicle with its brake lights on in a driveway. Inside the vehicle, they found a man, approximately 30 years old, unresponsive. The vehicle had multiple bullet holes, and the victim had suffered several gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
