HOUSTON, TX – A suspect was killed following a shootout during a home invasion at an apartment complex in the 9700 block of Leawood Boulevard. https://youtu.be/1_-EeHtGQYo Officers were called to the scene after reports of a shooting and home invasion. According to police, at least two men allegedly forced their way into an apartment and tied up the resident. The resident managed to alert a family friend, who arrived at the location armed. A shootout ensued between the friend and the suspects. One of the alleged suspects was shot and later pronounced deceased at a hospital. The resident was also transported to a hospital for injuries. According to police, officers arrived to find a large group of people and two gunshot victims. The first victim, a man in his mid-20s, sustained a gunshot wound to the arm and was transported to a nearby hospital. The second victim, also a man in his mid-20s, suffered a gunshot wound to his upper extremities and was pronounced deceased at the scene. According to police, the woman was traveling southbound on the feeder road at a high rate of speed when she lost control of her vehicle. According to police, a 30-year-old man was inside the apartment complex when he was approached by three to four males who attempted to rob him.
