MISSOURI CITY, TX - A campaign event for U.S. Senate candidate Colin Allred took place Sunday afternoon at the Landmark Community Center in Missouri City. Allred, who is running against incumbent Senator Ted Cruz, was joined by several local officials and candidates, including 400th District Court Judge Tameika Carter, Fort Bend County Tax Assessor Carmen Turner, Fort Bend County Sheriff Eric Fagan, Fort Bend County Constable Daryl Smith, Fort Bend County Constable Precinct 3 Nabil Shike, and JaPaula Kemp, candidate for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2, Place 2, among others. Missing non-verbal 8-year old found in Texas lake

Update 8/25/24 - Unfortunately, Ryan was found in a lake by his home Sunday morning by Texas Equusearch. FORT BEND COUNTY, TX - 8-year-old Ryan Akabusi was found deceased in a lake inside his neighborhood Sunday morning according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office. He was found by Texas EquuSearch. He was last seen in the 19900 block of Kendall Lake Drive in Richmond, TX around 4:30 a.m. on August 24, 2024. He was last wearing a lilac t-shirt with underpants. He is about 5 ft. tall weighing 75 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Ryan was said to be non-verbal and autistic. Police did not have a specific reason as to why he was in the lake but did state that kids with special needs are usually attracted to the water.
