Video: Intoxicated driver loses control and crashes into north Houston Church

January 15, 2023 - A suspected intoxicated driver was arrested Sunday evening after crashing through a fence of a neighboring property and slammed into the Calvary Pentecostal Church of God located at 912 Tidwell in north Houston just after 7:30 p.m. According to Reverend Mark Cox, a woman was taken to the hospital after a pole impaled her shoulder. A teenager and a child were also outside when the accident happened but they escaped without any injuries. There were about 15 people inside the church at the time. The driver was going about 50-60 mph when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the church. He was arrested for suspicion of intoxication according to Rev. Cox.

December 23, 2022 - A witness sent this photo in of a Ford Expedition that had crashed out and ended up a guardrail in north Houston on the Eastex Freeway at the E Mount Houston exit Friday evening. While no official cause has been given regarding the accident, the witness who sent this photo in stated that there were "beer cans everywhere". November 26, 2022 - A woman driver was killed early Saturday morning after going the wrong way on two different Houston freeways. A Harris County Constable saw her going the wrong way on the Hardy Toll Road and tried to get her attention by driving alongside on the opposite side of the freeway, in the correct direction. Police say she never noticed the Constable trying to get her attention and she ended up traveling a good distance. She ended up colliding with another driver in the 8100 block of the North Loop East Freeway (610) between Wayside and N. A lawsuit has been filed against a Houston car dealer by a daughter whose mother was tragically killed when her car stalled out on I-45 and was subsequently rear-ended by a tractor-trailer. The lawsuit claims the dealership improperly installed the wrong car battery. According to court documents, Brenda Patterson (the mother) was in Dallas and decided to come down to Houston on December 26, 2018, to complete the purchase of the vehicle after her son-in-law helped negotiate a price on a Honda Accord on Gillman Honda's lot. As employees at Gillman started to prepare the vehicle for pick-up, they found that the car would not start.
