According to police, officers from the Clear Lake Division responded to a shooting call and found a male, believed to be in his mid-30s, deceased inside a Nissan Altima. Witness statements and evidence suggest a second person was inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting but fled into the apartment complex. K-9 units are searched for the suspect, described only as a Black male wearing a black hoodie and black pants. HOUSTON, TX – A resident woke up to flames on the wall and ceiling as a fire broke out in a lower unit of a one-story apartment building early Monday morning. https://youtu.be/_R4cqdv-to4 The fire occurred around 2:55 a.m. at the Residence at the Heights, located at 611 W Cavalcade. According to officials, the resident in the affected unit managed to escape and alert occupants of the second-floor unit to evacuate. The fire spread through the walls and reached the second unit before being quickly extinguished by fire crews. No injuries were reported among residents or firefighters. HFD Arson is investigating the cause.

HOUSTON, TX – Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found inside a crashed truck at 8713 Leycrest Road early Monday morning. https://youtu.be/XuBM-kjtF9M The shooting was reported around 3:45 a.m. when HPD patrol officers responded to a call and discovered a truck that had veered into a ditch. The driver, a 24-year-old male, had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HOUSTON, TX – Two Houston police officers were severely injured in a crash early Sunday morning while attempting a U-turn underneath the 610 North Loop at Ella Boulevard. https://youtu.be/iWWhk4Tg0AU The crash occurred around 1:06 a.m. when officers from the North Shepherd Division were responding to assist another officer. While traveling along the feeder road, they attempted to make a U-turn but missed, striking one of the pillars. Both officers, one male and one female, suffered severe injuries and were transported to a local hospital.
