According to witnesses, they did not see the accident but reported hearing the crash. When they arrived, they found an older black Chevrolet Tahoe had collided with a tree. The driver, a male believed to be around 50 years old, was the only occupant in the vehicle. Officers arrived at the scene and attempted CPR, but he was pronounced deceased.
