Photo via the Citizen app The fire occurred at 2412 Washington Ave. around 7:46 p.m. Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the building and initiated an attack while conducting a primary search. Fans were used to ventilate the smoke from the structure. Crews contained the fire to a storage room wall, preventing extension to the main bar area or second floor. No injuries were reported. HOUSTON, TX – A man has been charged with murder after allegedly shooting and killing his brother following an argument at a residence on Manning Lane. The shooting occurred around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday at 7512 Manning Lane. According to the Houston Police Department, officers arrived to find a 28-year-old man unresponsive in the driveway with multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene. Investigators identified the suspect as Juan Antonio Meza Cruz, 31, who is the victim’s brother.
