According to the Houston Fire Department, firefighters encountered conditions that led to an intense burn and challenging access to the home due to the property's layout. The HFD's Arson Division is investigating to determine the cause and origin of the fire.

According to the Houston Police Department Homicide Division, the deceased male went to the tire shop to check on the status of his truck, which was being worked on at the location. HOUSTON, TX – An 8-year-old girl was pronounced deceased after being struck by a vehicle in the 9400 block of Concourse Drive earlier this afternoon. https://youtu.be/W6GIRKilwoU The accident occurred around 3:44 p.m. According to Lt. McLean with the Houston Police Department's Vehicular Crimes Division, officers from the Westside Division responded within four minutes of the call. Upon arrival, they located a male who had been riding a moped on the bike trail and had been shot at least once. The Houston Fire Department pronounced the man deceased at the scene.
