HARRIS COUNTY, TX – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting at the Haverstock Hills Apartments located in the 5600 block of Aldine Bender Road. Credit: HCSO Deputies responded to the call and found one adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital by EMS. The suspect fled the scene before deputies arrived. Violent Crimes detectives are en route to investigate. More information will follow if it becomes available

HPD: Officer shoots suspect after being pinned by vehicle in Galleria-area confrontation

HOUSTON, TX – A Houston Police sergeant shot a suspect after being pinned by a vehicle in the 5000 block of Westheimer around 5:20 p.m. Saturday evening, according to HPD. https://youtu.be/uJDjlT7myU8 The incident began when officers working an extra job near the Galleria identified a vehicle believed to be connected to a previous crime. As they approached, the driver exited a private property and began traveling against traffic on Westheimer. According to HPD, a sergeant approached the driver’s side, at which point he became pinned between the suspect’s vehicle and another object.
