HOUSTON, TX – A large fight escalated into gunfire inside a nightclub early Sunday morning, leaving four people injured, including a security guard.
The incident occurred around 4 a.m. at the 2727 Lounge, located in the 2700 block of Fondren. According to Houston Police, shots were fired by multiple individuals exchanging gunfire after security attempted to break up the fight.
A security guard was struck in the leg but was treated and released at the scene. Three other individuals were also shot and self-transported to local hospitals with varying injuries. All victims are believed to be adults and are in stable condition.
No witnesses remained at the scene following the shooting.
