HOUSTON, TX – A 64-year-old male was found dead inside an apartment after being shot a couple times in the upper body.
The shooting occurred around 9 p.m. at the Braeswood Plaza Apartments located at 5430 Birdwood.
According to police, witnesses reported hearing gunshots and seeing a male and female leave the apartment, possibly armed. The suspects remained in the area and were quickly detained by officers upon arrival, based on witness accounts.
The two individuals are currently considered persons of interest, and homicide detectives are questioning them to determine what took place inside the apartment. It was reported that one of the suspects had been staying with the victim for several days, but it is unclear if this played a role in the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing.
