Man shot and killed over $20 in front of taco truck

HOUSTON, TX – A man was shot and killed over $20 in front of a food truck. Three suspects are now on the run.

The shooting occurred in the 6200 block of Chimney Rock around 9:30 p.m.

According to police, the men in the parking lot described as African-American males were asking for $20 at a food truck. The victim stated that he will get them $20, went back to the apartments nearby and came back with a pistol. He then pointed the pistol at the suspects but did not pull the trigger. The suspects opened fire and shot him before fleeing on foot, headed west on Elm Street.

Police do not have anyone in custody but one officer was able to identify one of the suspects. Police are now looking for him.
