This started around 3:30 p.m. and needed around midnight at a townhome complex located in the 12400 block of Brookglade Circle in west Houston.

According to police, officers responded to the townhome after the man pulled out a pistol and threatened his father.

Officers were able to get the father and the mother out of the townhome safely but the male suspect barricaded himself in the garage that he lives in. SWAT was called to the scene after he refused to come out.

After obtaining a search and an arrest warrant, SWAT made forced entry into the garage and deployed tear gas. At one point the male was able to get out of the garage and climb on the roof the garage. He started to run back and forth on top of the garage and had a pistol in his hand. Less than lethal forced was used, which included the use of a taser, a 40mm round and flashbangs. The suspect kept going and made his way up on top of the two-story townhomes (garage roof was seperate).

Eventually SWAT was able to get him back into a garage and take him into custody. The pistol was found in a neighbors garage.
