HOUSTON, TX (July 4, 2024) – A woman was transported to a local hospital and is now recovering after a shooting in a shopping center parking lot.
The shooting occurred around 11 p.m. in the 4400 block of the North Freeway
According to the Houston Police Department, the woman said she was driving in the parking lot when the suspect shot her. She told police that she believes the suspect who was walking along a fence line may have thought she was driving too close to him and shot her through her vehicle car door. After being shot she drove in front of the Walmart and was able to receive medical help.
She was struck one time in the thigh and is expected to be okay.
The suspect, who fled the scene was only described as a male. Police are asking that if you saw anything to reach out to the Houston Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
