Montgomery man uses artificial intelligence to create child pornography

MONTGOMERY, TX – According to Constable Ryan Gable, of Montgomery County Precinct 3, their Human Trafficking Unit started an investigation into Roman Shoffner, a 30-year-old man living in Montgomery County back on May 15, 2024, for Child Pornography.

Through the investigation, investigators determined that Shoffner used an artificial intelligence program to alter a picture of a 17-year-old’s photo by having the app depict what the 17-year-old’s body would look like without clothes.

Detectives then seized his phone and had it forensically analyzed and obtained enough probable cause to arrest him for Child Pornography. Shoffner was then arrested on June 28, 2024.
