HOUSTON, TX (June 14, 2024) – An Uber Eats Driver is recovering after he was shot by an unknown suspect while making a delivery.
Police say the driver was walking back to his car which had his wife and child in it after delivering an Uber Eats order at an apartment complex in the 16200 block of Imperial Valley when the suspect opened fire around 10 p.m. Friday night.
The victim was able to drive down the street a little bit and call for help. Officers arrived and applied a chest seal and the Houston Fire Department transported him to the hospital where he is said to be in stable condition. His wife and child were not injured during the shooting.
Police believe this may have been an attempted robbery or carjacking.
