HOUSTON, TX (May 28, 2024) – The Atascocita Fire Department responded to a house fire during the storms that swept through the Houston area earlier today.
The fire took place just before 2 p.m. today in the 5700 block of Timber Trails Ln.
According to Chief Mulligan of the Atascocita Fire Department when crews arrived they found a working fire in the garage along with some wires that were down in the backyard. The firefighters immediately deployed a hard line to attack the fire in the garage.
The fire worked its way through a breezeway/cable run and spread to the home. Once firefighters put the fire out in the breezeway and the garage they made their way up to the second floor and made sure the fire did not spread to the attack.
Unfortunately, two canines in the home were lost in the fire according to the Chief.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
