HOUSTON, TEXAS – Houston Police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place at 6503 Wanda Lane around 12:55 a.m. on Saturday, December 9. The identity of the 44-year-old male victim is currently pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
According to the HPD Homicide Division, patrol officers responded to a call at an apartment complex at the stated address. Witnesses reported that the victim and an unknown male suspect were involved in an argument. The confrontation escalated, leading to the suspect shooting the victim multiple times. Responding paramedics from the Houston Fire Department pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
The suspect, who was with a group of unidentified individuals, fled the location. Some left on foot, while others departed in a black sedan.
