Two arrested in Harris County after stolen merchandise, firearm, and fake ID found in vehicle

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Two individuals were arrested and a vehicle full of stolen merchandise was recovered following a traffic stop by Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s Toll Road deputies.

According to Constable Terry Allbritton’s Office, the stop occurred near the 2500 block of W Sam Houston Parkway South. Deputies initiated the stop on a prohibited vehicle, during which the male driver repeatedly provided false identification and refused to show ID.

Further investigation revealed the male driver had an open felony warrant for Evading in a Motor Vehicle with prior convictions. The female passenger also had an open felony warrant for Theft over $2,500 with two or more prior convictions.

A search of the vehicle uncovered a firearm, fake identification, and a large quantity of stolen merchandise. The driver was additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. The passenger was taken into custody on her warrant.

The stolen merchandise was seized, and the case remains under investigation for possible retail theft charges.
