HARRIS COUNTY, TX – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday morning in the 4400 block of Trenton near Keith.
According to the Homicide Division, deputies responded to the location around 11:30 a.m. and found a 53-year-old black male deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.
Preliminary information indicates that the victim, who was a friend of the homeowner but did not reside at the location, was involved in an altercation at the front gate with a man described as the homeowner’s estranged boyfriend. The suspect, who had a prior dating relationship with the homeowner, allegedly produced a firearm and shot the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene.
Authorities are working to positively identify the suspect and locate him. The identity of the victim has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
