Man fatally shot after physical altercation with girlfriend and her brother in northwest Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A man was pronounced deceased following a shooting during a domestic disturbance early Saturday morning.

Around 3 a.m. on December 14, 2024, Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a weapons disturbance in the 23000 block of Bauer Hockley Road in northwest Harris County. Upon arrival, deputies found a 42-year-old man unresponsive with apparent gunshot injuries. EMS personnel attempted life-saving measures but pronounced the man deceased at the scene.

According to investigators, the incident began with a physical altercation between the victim and his girlfriend. The girlfriend contacted her brother, who arrived shortly afterward and became involved in an altercation with the victim. The confrontation escalated, resulting in the victim being shot multiple times. Both the girlfriend and her brother remained at the scene until deputies arrived.

HCSO Homicide and Crime Scene investigators responded to conduct a follow-up investigation. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office advised that the case would be presented to a Harris County grand jury.
