HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police Department Homicide Division and East Side Patrol officers are investigating a shooting that occurred at the Willow Creek Apartment Complex located at 7575 Office City around 4:20 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
According to police, officers were dispatched to the location following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located an unconscious male inside a vehicle driven by a citizen who was attempting to transport him to the hospital. First aid was rendered, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.
Witnesses at the scene reported seeing two Hispanic males, dressed in black, fleeing the area on foot. Their direction of travel remains unknown. The shooting is believed to have followed an argument, though the exact details are unclear at this time.
The actual shooting occurred near the pool area of the apartment complex, and police are reviewing surveillance footage. Investigators are also determining whether the suspects have any connection to the apartment complex.
The identity and age of the victim have not yet been confirmed.
