Three killed in murder-suicide in Harris County

HOUSTON, TX – A domestic violence situation escalated into a fatal shooting incident late Friday night in northeast Harris County.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office units responded to a call around 11 p.m. at the 11700 block of S Spicewood. A woman fled her residence with her two teenage children after an altercation with her live-in boyfriend. She sought refuge at a neighboring house, but the boyfriend followed her and an argument broke out in the front yard. Two men from the neighboring home came outside and were shot and killed by the boyfriend.

Both men were originally from Guatemala, aged approximately 50 and 30. A third brother from the same household returned fire, leading to an exchange of gunfire. The boyfriend retreated to his home and later took his own life.

The woman and her two children were unharmed and are cooperating with the investigation. The third brother, who was not injured, is also cooperating with the investigation. Investigators also stated that a previous domestic violence call had been made to the residence earlier in the week.
