HARRIS COUNTY, TX – According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, homicide detectives with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting scene early Monday morning at a residence in the 16000 block of Dehay Lane.
Around 4 a.m., deputies found 21-year-old Elijah Edwards deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators determined that prior to the shooting, Edwards and several known males were at the residence when an argument broke out. The dispute escalated into a physical fight, during which Edwards was shot.
Detectives have charged Xavier Garcia, born March 3, 2005, with murder in connection to Edwards’ death. Garcia has been arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail.
