HPD arrests 12 in after-hours raid at Plaza 45 nightclub

HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police Department executed a search warrant early Saturday morning at Plaza 45 nightclub, located at 770 W Gulf Bank, following a series of undercover operations.

According to HPD, the establishment is not licensed to sell alcohol and is prohibited from doing so after 2 a.m. Despite this, officers made multiple undercover purchases on separate occasions, confirming repeated violations.

During the operation, 12 individuals were arrested:

  • Four bartenders for illegally serving alcohol
  • Two managers and the club owner on similar charges
  • Two security guards for working without proper licenses
  • Three patrons with outstanding warrant

All alcoholic beverages at the club were seized for disposal under the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code. The arrested individuals were transported to the Joint Processing Center at the Harris County Jail.

Investigators stated the location has a history of after-hours violence. HPD also announced plans to contact the property owner to address the illegal activity and bring the location into compliance. Additional charges involving tax and licensing violations are expected to be pursued through the Texas State Comptroller’s Office.
