SULPHUR SPRINGS, TX – A 33-year-old woman was arrested on March 31, 2025, after police responded to a domestic disturbance involving a knife on Hinnant Street.

According to the Sulphur Springs Police Department, Cortney Shay Noble fled the scene upon officers’ arrival and was detained near Towne Street after a brief struggle. Police say Noble resisted arrest and pushed against officers during her placement into a patrol vehicle.
Her mother, the victim in the incident, sustained a knife-related laceration to her finger during the altercation.
Noble was booked into the Hopkins County Jail and continued to resist staff, requiring assistance to be placed in a secured cell.
She is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Second Degree Felony) and Resisting Arrest, Search, or Transport (Class A Misdemeanor). She remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.
