One dead, one critically injured after shooting at convenience store on Harwin

HOUSTON, TX – One man is dead and another is in critical condition following a shooting that began outside a convenience store in southwest Houston.

The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on March 21, 2025, in the 9900 block of Harwin.

According to police, Midwest Patrol officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting and located an adult male who had been shot at least once. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by Houston Fire Department personnel.

While working the scene, officers were alerted to a second shooting victim on Pagewood, just north of the original location. There, they found another adult male who had also sustained at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Preliminary information indicates that the two men were involved in an altercation in the parking lot of the convenience store, during which both were shot. The surviving male reportedly drove away in a van, stopped on Pagewood, and called for assistance.
