Driver pronounced deceased after crashing SUV into tree near Memorial City Westin

HOUSTON, TX – A man was pronounced deceased after crashing his vehicle into a tree in front of the Memorial City Westin early Saturday morning.

The crash occurred around 12:40 a.m. in the 900 block of Gessner. According to witnesses, they did not see the accident but reported hearing the crash. When they arrived, they found an older black Chevrolet Tahoe had collided with a tree.

The driver, a male believed to be around 50 years old, was the only occupant in the vehicle. Officers arrived at the scene and attempted CPR, but he was pronounced deceased.
