Man killed after crashing into street sign on Main at South Post Oak

HOUSTON, TX – A man was killed after crashing into a street sign along Main Street near South Post Oak late Friday night.

The crash occurred around 11:01 p.m. in the outbound lanes at the intersection of 12100 Main and South Post Oak.

According to police, the driver of a single vehicle lost control, struck a large street sign, and also hit a speed limit sign. The driver, believed to be in his 50s, was the only occupant and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The reason for the crash is unknown at this time.
