HOUSTON, TX – A woman was killed after crashing through barriers and flipping her vehicle at a car dealership on Southwest Freeway.
The crash occurred around 11:05 p.m. in the 9400 block of Southwest Freeway at Sterling McCall Toyota. According to police, the woman was traveling southbound on the feeder road at a high rate of speed when she lost control of her vehicle. She crashed through barriers at the dealership, struck a parked vehicle, and overturned.
The woman was ejected during the crash. Houston Fire Department crews arrived on scene and transported her to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Speed was confirmed as a factor, and preliminary information suggests possible impairment.
