17-year-old stumbles into Glenmont convenience store after being shot

HOUSTON, TX – A 17-year-old male was shot and injured Friday night near 6101 Glenmont Street.

The shooting occurred around 10:18 p.m. According to police, the teenager, who was shot at least twice in the torso, managed to stumble into a nearby convenience store, where bystanders called for help. The victim appeared disoriented and was unable to provide details about the incident, only saying that he had been shot.

Officers investigating the scene traced the victim’s movements and discovered pistol and rifle casings about a block away at an apartment complex. The victim was transported to a hospital and is expected to survive.
