HOUSTON, TX – An adult male was shot during an altercation in a vehicle on Westheimer Road Saturday night.
The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. in the 8600 block of Westheimer Road. According to police, a known female suspect flagged down the victim and invited him into a vehicle. After a brief conversation, a male suspect emerged from the back seat holding a firearm.
An argument and physical altercation ensued, and the male suspect fired two shots, striking the victim in the leg. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition. Both suspects are in custody, and the Major Assaults Division is continuing the investigation.
It is unclear at this time if the suspects were attempting to rob the victim. The suspects surrendered after driving a short distance from the scene.
