HOUSTON, TX – A man in his 40s was killed in a crash involving an SUV early Saturday morning on the eastbound lanes of Highway 225 near Allen Genoa.
The accident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. when the man’s sedan collided with a SUV that was stopped in the main lanes of the highway. The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are investigating why the SUV was stopped and whether intoxication or vehicle malfunction was a factor.
The man driving the SUV was transported to the hospital and is expected to recover.
