HOUSTON, TX – A semi-truck operated by Grocers Supply struck a power pole while turning onto Witcher Lane, causing two poles to fall and blocking the roadway on Monday afternoon.
The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. in the 5700 block of the North Freeway as the truck was turning eastbound onto Witcher Lane. The semi is currently blocking Witcher Lane (as of 2:40 p.m.), and CenterPoint has been requested to assist with the downed power lines.
The Houston Fire Department and Houston Police Department are on the scene, blocking traffic in the area as crews work to clear the scene.
