HOUSTON, TX – A man was found dead following a shooting at an apartment complex in the 14700 block of West Oaks Plaza Drive late Saturday night.
The incident occurred around 11 p.m., when Houston Police Department officers received a call about a suspicious person with a weapon at The Link apartment complex. Neighbors reported approximately 5 to 6 African-American males carrying rifles and shooting in the apartment complex parking lot.
Upon arrival, officers noticed an open garage door and interior door nearby. While investigating, they found shell casings outside the residence. Inside, officers discovered an adult male deceased.
Police believe the incident is related to narcotics, and a large amount of drugs was found inside the residence. The suspects fled in a vehicle, and investigators are currently canvassing the area for video recordings and witnesses.
