Man dies after losing control on the South Loop

HOUSTON, TX – A vehicle crash on the South Loop resulted in one fatality and one person injured early this morning.

The incident occurred just before 1 a.m. in the 7100 block of South Loop East.

According to police, the vehicle was traveling eastbound when the driver lost control, causing the car to go off the road. The vehicle flipped multiple times before crashing into a metal fence on the feeder road. Houston Fire Department (HFD) personnel had to extricate the driver from the vehicle. The male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene, while a female passenger was transported to the hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
