HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A cyclist was fatally struck by a car this morning.
The accident occurred around 4:50 a.m. in the 8900 block of FM 1960 Rd W.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the driver of a Honda Accord was traveling eastbound on FM 1960 when he struck the cyclist from the rear. The impact caused the cyclist to separate from his bicycle, hit the car’s windshield before landing on the roadway. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver remained on the scene was determined not to be intoxicated.
