HOUSTON, TX – A nightclub manager who was getting ready to go home was struck and killed by a man who was trying to run over his significant other
The accident happened in front of Space Nightclub in the 2400 block of San Jacinto around 3 a.m.
According to police, there was some sort of domestic violence happening inside one of the nightclubs in the area. Security staff was able to break and they left the nightclub. Shortly after, the man started to drive around the nightclub and struck multiple cars. At one point he saw his significant other and tried to hit her with his car. She was able to get out of the way but he struck an innocent bystander at the time. The bystander, was a manager of one of the nightclubs in the area.
The suspect then fled the scene but witnesses told police the direction he was headed in. Police were able to detain him a few blocks away near the 1200 block of Jefferson.
The man might be facing murder charges because of his intention to hit his significant other with the car. Charges are still to be determined.
