HOUSTON, TX – One man is dead after being found outside with a gunshot wound in his head following an apartment fight by his roommates.
The victim was found in the 6200 block of Elm near Rampart a little after 2 a.m. this morning.
According to the Houston Police Department, Two roommates got into a fistfight inside an apartment while they were drinking and barbecuing. A third roommate was able to de-escalate the situation and everyone went to bed.
At one point the victim ran from the apartment and they went to look for him but couldn’t find him.
About an hour and a half later, the roommates heard gunshots and out of concern went to go search for their roommate. They found him lying on the concrete outside, unconscious with an apparent head injury, and began CPR. The man was transported to the hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced deceased. Doctors confirmed to police that he was shot in the head.
