HOUSTON, TX – A suspect was shot while trying to break into an apartment in west Houston.
The attempted home invasion and shooting occurred in the 10600 block of Beechnut at the Sunset Crossing Apartment Homes.
According to the Houston Police Department, a woman called police stating there were 4 to 5 men outside her home with rifles and they were pounding on her door.
At one point, the men forced entry into her home and occupants inside the apartment exchanged gunfire with the suspects.
One of the suspects was struck multiple times in the head and was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
