HOUSTON, TX – July 15, 2023 – Two children, a 12-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy, drowned while swimming at the marina side of Xtreme Off Road and Park
The incident occurred at approximately 9 p.m. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to reports of the missing children and immediately deployed the Marine and Dive team.
The HCSO team used a robot equipped with sonar to search the water. The bodies of the two children were found, matching the descriptions of the missing individuals.
The family was at the scene and notified immediately after the discovery. A Chaplain was present on the scene.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
