HARRIS COUNTY – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit reports that around 9:50 p.m. on July 16, District Three deputies responded to a 911 call about a man found unresponsive with a gunshot wound in the yard of a home in the 14500 block of Victoria Street, East Harris County.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered an unresponsive black male in his twenties with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The victim was known to frequent the area, although it’s believed that he did not live there and may have been homeless.
Earlier in the evening, the victim had attended a party at a local residence and left at some point. Shortly after his departure, neighborhood residents reported hearing gunshots. The same man was found lying on the ground outside the house.
Currently, investigators are interviewing homeowners in the area and canvassing for surveillance video that could provide leads in the case. At this time, there is no information on potential suspects or vehicles involved in the incident.
